My fam has been eating here since the 80's. They have an enormous menu and I haven't had a bad dish there. They can actually make a turnip delicious. Bravo

The food was good and I give it an extra star for being one of the cleaner Chinese restaurants I've been to.

The best Chinese in the area. A Louisville classic! It was packed last night, but it didn't take them long to make the food. There was also consistently about 15 bags of carry out at the counter waiting to get picked up. I miss the old chairs they used to have. I hadn't been here since the remodel. Other than the chairs it's very nice!

So today I wanted to get out and try one of my favorite places, but I know that they had done some renovations so I said I should stop in and check it out and that place is Oriental House on Shelbyville Road. Usually the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming however, today when I entered the restaurant, I was greeted not by the usual welcoming, smiles, and greetings of welcome. I was greeted with a frown and abruptness, which is unusual for this place. I was taken to a table that wasn't suitable and I requested a new one, but as I was requesting the new table, the hostess quite literally took a phone call and walked away as I was speaking never to return. I did change my seat and when given a menu was only given one of the menus and not the dim sum menu that usually accompanies the standard menu that they have . I did requested and it was brought over to me., but I understand as it is lunchtime though it is not busy at all at this. I am really hoping that the food also does not let me down as this has put a slight damper on my visit. So after I got my food, there was a decided upturn in my mood as my food was absolutely delicious. I had the dim sum chicken feet, which was absolutely wonderful and a green beans with tofu while ordinarily on the menu it does come with ground pork I did request the tofu and it was fabulous. As I said having my lunch I watched this large group of family members wandered in person by person and they sat down and greeted each other with such love and enjoy it brightened my mood, and I was pleasantly pleased that the restaurant was able to accommodate them at one table so if you had any questions about them being able to accommodate large groups there you have it they can and I suggest that you come and try out their food as it is fantastic. The quality has not dropped a bit. I was concerned that it might but it taste just as good as ever thank you to the cooks who prepared this meal you guys are fantastic And my hostess came by. We talked and it made my day much brighter as well thank you to everyone at the Oriental House and I hope to see you all here one day bon appétit

This restaurant food was fire. Our extra spiced generals chicken flavors exceeded expectations. Not overwhelming but very tasty and will be my go to. Came at opening time on Saturday morning. Service fast and smooth. The place was spotless.

We were nearby and couldn't resist coming again for lunch. We both tried something different this time. I got the Hunan chicken. It's got just a touch of spice. I did get the San Shen Soup again and it was outstanding. My wife got the Moo Goo Guy Pan. The service was again excellent and the food beyond expectations.

There is sadly no Dim Sum in Lexington. Since we were heading to Louisville for the races, we decided to check out Oriental House, recommended by some local foodies. While they don't have traditional rolling carts, the Dim Sum did the trick. How I love it! Very good and friendly service. 46

Chef's kiss every time. Beef ribs are not my favorite but they are tender, way too much fat for me but again I know people love this like ribeye. I don't because I don't like the fat lol so if you like that this is perfect. But these wings... are the deep fried shrimp dumplings are lol Ask for some bourbon sauce for the wings and sriracha for the dumplings if you want a little kick!!!
